Arvada on Tap provides a fun outlet for craft beer and barbecue enthusiasts! This event features commercial craft breweries, local food, a variety of vendors, live music, and an amateur BBQ competition.

All proceeds will benefit our community partners to support their local community projects.

GENERAL INFORMATION & REQUIREMENTS

• Registration is limited to the first 12 competitors.
• The registration fee is $55. Participants can donate their registration fee to our community partners or receive a reimbursement on the day of the event. 
• Participants will be provided with 6 pork butts and 6 whole chickens. 
• Meat can be picked up from Lot Que (13730 W 85th Drive Unit 103, Arvada 80005). Dates/times for meat pickup are still TBD but we will let you know via email. 
• You can BBQ, smoke, or grill the pork shoulder. You may prep and cook onsite, or finish your cook onsite.
• You may choose to use BBQ sauce if you'd like but it must be homemade. 
• AFC will supply power for smokers/grills. Please confirm below what your needs are for electricity. You will be responsible for proper ash and grease disposal. 
• AFC will provide you with 2 oz. sample cups and toothpicks/spoons. You are only allowed to give out samples of 1-2 oz. BBQ sampling hours are noon to. 2 pm. 
• You will get a 10' x 10' space. If you require more/less space, please explain your needs below, we will do our best to accommodate you but please be aware that there is only so much room available in that area. 
• Any other supplies needed will be supplied by the participant including a tent, table, and chairs. 
• Samples will be judged and voted on by the public via a mobile app and QR code. Attendees will be voting for People's Choice. 
• Prizes will be awarded in 1st and 2nd for pork, and 1st and 2nd for chicken. Only one prize will be awarded per team. If a team secures the most votes across multiple categories, only one prize will be awarded to that team, with priority given to the category where they received the most votes. If the team with the highest votes already has claimed a prize, the prize will be given to the team with the second highest votes, and so forth, ensuring fair distribution of prizes. 
• This year be prepared to gather at 11:30 am on the morning of the competition to share your BBQ with the other contestants before the gates open.
• Each BBQ Team will be given 2 General Admission wristbands to be used for Arvada on Tap. Any additional tickets will need to be purchased.
• Friday, July 12 we will have a small get-together/appreciation for the BBQ Teams. Please join us onsite at 6:30 PM for live music! More information to come. You are welcome to begin setting up your spot at this time!
